<p>Carefully selected before gastric bypass, physicians will scrutinize patients for their eating practices, look for any untreated medical conditions would could be contra-indicative, and treat them where possible. <p>One of the strangest things in modern history is that the more developed and well off a country gets, the fatter it&#8217;s people become. Most people in most of the developed nations today have a few extra pounds on them, to say the least.</p>
<p>Before we start figuring out what to do about it, we should figure out why so many people are so fat. Certainly people a hundred years ago weren&#8217;t fat, so what happened?</p>
<p>For starters, we don&#8217;t need to put in too much physical labor to earn a living. Unless you are a lumberjack or something, and chop down trees for a living, you probably sit at a desk. And when was the last time you did fifty sit ups first thing in the morning? It&#8217;s no secret that people don&#8217;t get enough exercise.</p>
<p>And another clear reason that so many of us need to put in a heroic effort to button our pants every morning is the stuff we eat day in an day out. Filled with chemicals, preservatives, and other stuff that belongs in laboratory, the food we eat today can&#8217;t really be all that healthy.</p>
<p>What about heading out for a bite? Is it any better? No. It&#8217;s worse. Much worse. How many fast food restaurants do you think you pass by on your way to and from work everyday? Ten? Twenty? More? And how healthy do you think those places are? If you were a mad scientist, and wanted to craft some food that tasted delicious but was deadly, you couldn&#8217;t do a much better job than the fast food that is available to us today.</p>
<p>And if you are ever hungry, and you go shopping, where are you more likely to head, the cucumber section, or the frozen food microwave section? Or that section of most supermarkets today where they have food that is just as bad as fast food, but smells so good?</p>
<p>And all those companies that make all that food that is so hard to resist? Do you think they want you to lose weight? Do you think they would like you to shop at the whole foods market instead of the drive-thru? Yep, didn&#8217;t think so.</p>
<p>There is a growing suspicion that this whole mess we live in was carefully designed by those that want to take advantage of our natural tendency to eat delicious food, just so they could make a profit. I don&#8217;t know if that&#8217;s true, but they sure are making a profit.</p>
<p>So what do we do? Try and exercise. Try and stay away from fast and processed food. Turn off your TV. Go for a walk. It might be difficult at first, but when you realize your life depends on it, it gets easier.</p>

<p>Abdominal exercises are the right exercises to target the area around the waist. Here are some simple love handle exercises:</p>
<p>Twisting Crunches</p>
<p>They are like regular crunches, except you exercise your obliques as well. Make sure you relax and lie with your back flat on the floor or on the mat. Keep your knees bent. Then, bring your left knee up to meet your right arm. Twist your upper body in order to do this. Alternate the movements between your right and left side.</p>
<p>Remember not to strain your neck and chin. Lift your upper body using your abdominal and oblique muscles and not your neck. Repeat 20 times as a beginner and then gradually increase the number of repetition as you advance.</p>
<p>Leg Lifts</p>
<p>This exercise is really simple. You begin by lying with your back flat on the floor and with your legs stretched out, also flat on the surface. Make sure to relax your upper body. Lift your legs and try to reach a height of about 6 inches off the ground. Do this lift motion using your abs and not your neck. The tension and stretch should be felt around the waist and there should be no strain in your neck. Remain in this position for about 20-30 seconds. Repeat this exercise 15 times at first.</p>
<p>Standing Twists</p>
<p>For this exercise, you start by standing straight with the feet wide apart. However, keep them steady and comfortable, not wobbly. Then, raise your arms like a boxer in a defensive position. Keep your lower body still and in place then start twisting your upper body left and right. Do this exercise fast and repeat up to 100 times. This is effective if you can keep your lower body still and if you do it fast and with many repetitions.</p>
<p>Remember that regular exercise will help burn the excess fat stored in your love handles. Keep exercising and eat healthy to permanently get rid of your love handles.</p>
